Last spring Ethos renewed our lease for another 3 year term in the Mercantile Building in downtown Vancouver. So much is changing in this area, and indeed throughout the region, it’s hard to recognize familiar places. Every block seems to be under construction.

Here’s the view of the new (and still iconic) Woodwards block from the hall window in our building.

This picture really says it all about what is happening in Vancouver. The historic Dominion Building (once the tallest building in the empire - according to the plaque in the elevator) seems dwarfed by the cranes at work behind the scenes. A lone tree stands in the foreground.
