As consultants, we mostly work behind the scenes to strengthen and enhance the voices of our clients. Sometimes - rarely - there is a right time to briefly be the public face of the issue. In the case of Homelessness Action Week 2008 we were able to offer the ‘what’s new about this story’ angle to the media by penning an op ed under our own names. Our direct experience with our client, Sue Noga, at Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco gave as a unique perspective on the importance of this model and we were able to share it with readers in BC.
